ACCRINGTON Stanley defender Phil Edwards has agreed a deal to join Stevenage.
Stanley were hoping that Edwards would decide to take up their offer of a two-year contract at Crown Ground despite interest from elsewhere.
But Stevenage, Stanley's conquerors in the play-offs and newly promoted to League One, have now announced on their official website that they have agreed to sign Edwards.
The 25-year-old can leave on a Bosman free transfer because he is out of contract at Stanley.
