JOHN Coleman has paid tribute to Jimmy Ryan after the midfielder became the first Accrington Stanley player to be named in a PFA League Two team of the year.

The 22-year-old has been in good form this season and is the first Reds player to be selected since the club returned to the Football League.

Coleman said: “He has come good and when he plays well we tend to play well.”

Coleman, though, spoke of his frustration after Saturday’s match against Oxford as player wages were again not paid before the game as he had expected, although the money is said to be imminent.

“Yet again it wasn’t delivered,” said Coleman. “It has happened the last three times we’ve played now.”
