CHAIRMAN turned manager Carl Garner can’t praise his Clitheroe players enough after his dugout reign started with a four-match unbeaten run.
And now he wants to see the Blues maintain their impressive run between now and the end of the Evo-Stik League Premier Division season.
Garner quit as Shawbridge chairman to take over as boss following the resignation of Peter Smith last month – and he says he is enjoying every minute at the helm.
“It’s great – but it’s more down to the lads,” said Garner. “I can’t praise their effort, pride and application enough.
“They are mainly local and it is great to see them doing so well. we are four unbeaten and it would be great to extend that.”
Clitheroe beat high-flying AFC Fylde 1-0 in midweek and entertain Witton Albion at Shawbridge tomorrow aiming to extend that run.
