A REST of Lancashire team rallied to an extraordinary clean sweep victory over their Bolton Golf Association counterparts at Chorley Golf Club on Saturday.
Blackburn’s Steven McGlynn, Michael Hunt of Pleasington and Hurst Green-based Mark Young all played their part in Lancashire’s 18-0 win.
McGlynn and partner Richard Blundell of Hillside were the big performers in the 6-0 morning foursomes, beating Matt Buckley and Neil Woolfrey 5&4.
n Lancashire were beaten 7-5 by Lancashire Ladies at Hesketh. Pleasington duo Cath Roberts and Nikki Foster, and Wilpshire’s Elizabeth Stebbings, were in the ladies team.
