THE battle for the goalkeeper’s gloves is an ongoing one, according to Burnley boss Eddie Howe.
Brian Jensen played his first competitive game in almost six months when he featured for the reserves against Morecambe’s second string on Tuesday night.
The long-serving Dane lost his place to summer signing Lee Grant in October, but Howe revealed he’s pushing hard to win it back.
“I haven’t seen a great deal of Brian other than in training, where he has impressed, but he needed a game,” said the Burnley boss.
“He hadn’t played in a long time and he did everything that was asked of him, so he is pushing for a shirt along with the other lads who aren’t in the team.”
