Burnley FC pitch up for gong
BURNLEY have been shortlisted for the Championship’s ‘Pitch of the Year’ award, alongside Nottingham Forest and Norwich City.
The Clarets spent £700,000 on installing a new Desso GrassMaster pitch in the summer, and it has been rated highly by referees and visiting managers to be in contention for the prize.
Turf Moor will today be visited by a representative of the Sports Turf Research Institute and the winner will be announced before the end of the season.
