EDDIE Howe is hoping consistency is the key to coming out of this Lancashire derby on top.

The Burnley manager makes just one change to the side which was knocked out of the FA Cup by West Ham on Monday as joint leading scorer Chris Iwelumo comes into the side in place of winger Wade Elliott.

Iwelumo's inclusion means the line-up is the same as the one which won at Watford and recorded back-to-back league successes for the first time since August 2009.

The Clarets will be hoping to make ground on sixth placed Leeds United, who were beaten 3-0 by Swansea in the day's early kick-off.

Preston, meanwhile, have gone without a win in 12 games, including nine under new manager Phil Brown.
