Clitheroe and District Motor Club and a host of local competitors were among the recipients at Friday’s presentation night held at the Blackburn Northern Sports Club.
Inter-League champions Clitheroe dominated the Road Rally standings with awards going to Terry Martin (overall driver), Paul Buckel (first semi-expert driver), Simon Boardman (second semi-expert driver); Alan Douglas (first novice driver), Paul Taylor (first expert navigator), Ian Rayner (first semi-expert navigator) and Dave Barritt (second novice navigator). CSMA member Steve Butler from Accrington took the overall navigators award.
More success came for the Clitheroe club in the Stage Rally series where Ross Miller and Paula Swinscoe took overall driver and co-driver awards. Miller also took third prize in the Individual Championship in which Accrington’s Steve Johnson (CSMA) finished second having also finished runner-up in Class C of the Off The Road Championship.
Accrington Motor Sport Club member Dave Barratt was third in the Marshals Championship.
