Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean flew to India for a meeting with the club’s owners Venky's yesterday.

Kean will talk transfers, among other things, with his bosses in Pune today as he looks to finalise their strategy for the remainder of the window.

Barcelona’s teenager striker Ruben Rochina still on the radar and two other deals also believed to be in the pipeline.

Blackpool’s want-away Charlie Adam remains on Kean’s wish list, while his large number of injured absentees will see him discuss several other names with Venky’s owners.

Blackpool remain determined to keep hold of talisman Adams but the midfielder himself is keen to leave and has told the Seasiders that, and is understood to be keen on a move to Ewood Park.

Kean said: “I will go in and out for a meeting in India and then back Tuesday morning.

"I am going there to give a progress report and to give a little bit more detail on what we hope to do at the back end of the window.

“It is ongoing on the transfer front. It has been slower than we hoped, which has been frustrating, but hopefully we can get this one pushed through and then we are on to the next.

“There was a signing that almost happened on Friday that went backwards a little bit.

"So if we can get that back on track, I’m confident that will happen.

"Then we can look and assess the injuries that are coming back and if they’re coming back then that’s fantastic, if not then we might add another one."
