BLACKBURN Rovers remain very much in the hunt for Scottish international Charlie Adam – with the player himself wanting Blackpool to allow him the chance to speak to other clubs.
The 25-year-old former Rangers player is a wanted man with Rovers just one of several Premier League clubs looking to sign him this month.
Aston Villa and Birmingham are understood to have made bids for the player in the region of £2.5million, both of which have been turned down as Blackpool fight to keep hold of their prized asset.
With another 18 months left on his contract, Blackpool are proving stubborn sellers with boss Ian Holloway saying just yesterday it would take an “astronomical offer” to lure Adam away - believed to be at least £6m and only from one of the big four.
Adam is understood to be set on on a January move away, and is very interested in a move to Ewood Park, but fears the price tag Blackpool have put on him will stop a January switch.
He believes he should be allowed the opportunity to further his career if the right offer comes along and has asked the Seasiders to allow him that chance.
