BRIAN Laws admits Chris McCann could be a doubt to play for the first game of the season because of a knee problem.
McCann did not feature in the behind-closed-doors draw with Accrington Stanley yesterday after missing most of last season through injury.
“The physio just felt it would be too soon for him after our flight back,” said Laws.
“I suppose there has to be a question mark over whether he will play in the first game.”
Burnley play Nottingham Forest in the first game of the season in nine days’ time.
