JACK Brooks and Sam Stuart are recent East Lancashire winners of the Lancashire Boys Championships – and now a host of regional candidates are desperate to become the 2010 success story.

Almost a dozen boys, including Nelson quartet Charlie Ellis, Sam Reeves, Curtis Clarkin and Ben Short are heading to in Preston this Sunday for the 36-hole event.

Chorley’s Stuart won the event back in 2006 and his Lancashire team-mate Brooks, a Pleasington member, took the honours in 2007.
