BURNLEY will travel to Singapore and Bali in July as part of their preparations for the new season.

The Clarets had been waiting to confirm their pre-season, with all plans on hold until the club found out if they had they had qualified for the Europa League – meaning a first competitive game in the first qualifying round on July 1.

However, it was confirmed on Monday that Burnley had missed out on Europe after England lost their right to a fair play place for next season.

So the Clarets have now finalised a pre-season tour to south east Asia – having previously agreed a shirt sponsorship deal with Asian betting company Fun88 in February.

The squad will leave on July 14 for a 10-day training trip and will play three matches, with opponents still to be confirmed.

Burnley had gone on tour in the United States during the previous two summers and would have returned there again this year had Owen Coyle not departed as boss in January, with his Bolton side now set to visit North America instead.
