EMILY Smith is one of four Stonyhurst College pupils who has been selected to play hockey for Lancashire.
Emily, from Hurst Green, was picked for the county under 15s and was part of the team that won the North of England Tournament.
The team, which also included Stonyhurst pupil Helen Finn from Nuneaton, scored a total of 36 goals on their way to glory, conceding only three.
They beat Yorkshire 7-0 in the final and now go forward to play the winners of the Southern County Tournament where they will be under the watchful eye of national coaches. Jessica Pye, from Chipping was selected for Lancashire under 17s and Clare Lupton from Chaigley was picked for the under 16s team.
