Accrington slumped to another defeat this time at the hands of in-form Burnley at Thorneyholme Road.

Strengthened by the inclusion of Derbyshire’s Jonathan Clare as he recovers from a shoulder injury, the visitors made 230-8.

Clare made 70 and pro Farhaan Behardien scored 76 as Burnley enjoyed a fine day with the bat.

Will Driver made 65 for Accrington but Bharat Tripathi (4-69) and James Capstick (4-49) got amongst the wickets to break home hearts.
