THE stars were out as Burnley held their traditional end of season awards ceremony at Turf Moor last night.

But none shone brighter than Clarets trio Jon Harley, Chris McCann and Graham Branch, who all won individual honours to cap memorable individual seasons.

Harley's Player of the Year award was a well deserved honour for a defender who has been a model of consistency since joining from Premiership bound Sheffield United last August.

McCann, meanwhile, added to his trophy haul by predictably landing the Young Player of the Year award. The Republic of Ireland youth international, who swept the category at the fans' awards night, was again rewarded for a superb debut season that saw him score his first senior goals against Ipswich Town and Queens Park Rangers and then sign professional forms in the New Year.

Branch, who was another big winner with the fans on Monday night and celebrated a champagne week by signing a new one-year contract, was delighted to come out on top in the Goal of the Season category for the first of his two goals this season in December's thrilling 4-1 victory over play-off semi-finalists Watford.
