Goalscorer David Dunn paid tribute to Blackburn Rovers’ defence but said he hoped their local rivals would not be relegated.
Dunn said: “As a team we defended really well - the back four with Chris Samba and Phil Jones particularly were outstanding.
”Once we got the goal that changed things and we could sit back and wait for them to make mistakes and counter-attack them.
”I genuinely do hope Burnley go on a little run now and nick a few wins.”
