BURNLEY midfielder Chris McCann has suffered another setback on his road to recovery from a second knee injury of the season, after failing to be declared fit for tonight's reserve game against Manchester United.

The 22-year-old was due to be named in the squad to face the Reds' second string at Altrincham (kick-off 7pm), but after being assessed following a light training session this morning it was decided to delay his return until next week.

On a positive note, Alex MacDonald will get his first start after recovering from a double hernia operation.
