BURNLEY midfielder Jack Cork – on loan from Chelsea – has been selected in the England U21 squad for the European Championship clash against Greece at Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium next week.

Cork, who made his full debut for the Clarets in Sunday's defeat at Aston Villa, has been included in Stuart Pearce's squad for the game on March 3.

Cork returns to the England fold after joining Burnley on loan for the rest of the season during the January transfer window.

Pearce said: "I've named a 24-man squad for this one and there are 14 players who played at the weekend, so we've got a bigger number who are getting first team football.

"There are the likes of Jack Cork and Jack Wilshere who have recently gone out on loan to Premier League clubs."
