BURNLEY can avoid the drop back into the Championship, according to top TV pundit Mark Lawrenson.
But the ex-Liverpool star reckons the Clarets must start to regain a winning mentality at Turf Moor.
“We knew all along that Burnley’s survival or otherwise was going to be decided by their home form,” said Lawrenson.
“They have had a tough time but that was always going to happen and it is how they react to their run and if they can start winning at Turf Moor again.
“I have spoken to Brian Laws and he knows they maybe need to be a little tighter and maybe change slightly.
“And that is why he has brought people in to stabilise the defence.
“The league is so tight and I can see anyone in the bottom half being dragged into it – and Burnley can get out of trouble.”
Football Focus will be broadcasting live from Turf Moor today at 12.15pm on BBC1, featuring Brian Laws and Jimmy Anderson.
