BLACKBURN Under 15s’ bid to make it through to the quarter-finals of the North West Alder-Owen Trophy when they take on Mid Cheshire for their First Round clash at Pleasington on Saturday, kick off 10.30a.m.
The winners face mighty Liverpool in the quarter-finals following their emphatic 7-0 win against Hyndburn.
Hyndburn Under 15s hope to bounce back from that disappointment with victory against Spen Valley in a Northern Merit League game on Saturday (10.30am).
The local youngsters were held to a 1-1 draw by Spen Valley in the return fixture on November 7.
Elsewhere, Burnley Under 14s bid to make it two wins out of two in the Lancashire League Cup when they travel to Ribble Valley on Saturday, kick-off 10.30a.m.
The youngsters made a winning start to their League Cup campaign when they ran out narrow 3-2 victors against Blackpool at the seaside a fortnight ago.
