BRIAN Laws is planning to add three new players to his squad today, in the hope of saving Burnley’s season.

The Clarets dropped into the bottom three last night following a 1-0 defeat to rivals Bolton Wanderers.

But Laws is now poised to bring in experienced central defender Leon Cort from Stoke City.

The former Hull City and Crystal Palace stopper made 11 Premier League appearances for The Potters last season, but has been restricted to cup games this term.

Meanwhile out-of-contract goalkeeper Nicky Weaver, formerly of Manchester City and Charlton, and Celtic left back Danny Fox are also expected to complete deals.
