BRIAN Jensen hopes luck is back on Burnley’s side after recovering from a goal down to earn a second consecutive home draw.

The Clarets had been licking their wounds in the aftermath of back-to-back away defeats to bottom four sides West Ham and Portsmouth.

And it looked as though their Turf Moor fortress, which had only surrendered five points before Saturday's visit of Fulham, was under threat when Bobby Zamora fired the London club in front early in the second half.

But Wade Elliott’s second goal of the season restored parity on the hour, and Jensen felt both clubs could be pleased with the point.

“Looking at the game I think it was quite even,” said the Danish stopper.

“Even though we were at home and should probably win, because that's what the fans are used to by now, sometimes you just have to take what you can get, and it was one of those games.

“We’ve always known we’re capable of coming back in games and doing things people are asking us to do.”

Having conceded seven goals in the last two games – 27 in total on the road – Jensen steadied the ship with important first-half saves from Erik Nevland and Damien Duff to send the teams into the half-time break goalless.

“I think for the last couple of months we’ve been running out of luck a little bit.

"It was nice to have one of those so-called good games but that’s what I’m there for.

“I’m the last line of defence and that’s what I’m paid to do. If I play well, it’s nice if it influences them.

“But at the end of the day it was a team performance.

“The two in front of me (Clarke Carlisle and Steven Caldwell) were just outstanding.

"The two up front that (Fulham) have, they are tough opposition, but they dealt with them really well.”
