CLARETS defender Clarke Carlisle believes manager Owen Coyle deserves more credit for masterminding Burnley’s fine start to the Premier League.
Burnley boast a 100 per cent record at Turf Moor after beating Manchester United, Everton, Sunderland and Birmingham City.
“It is a kind of coincidence that each of the four teams that has come to Turf Moor has had an off day,” said Carlisle.
“Not enough credit is being given to the manager for what he has achieved, the squad that he has built, and for the performances of the 11 through 14 individuals that make it onto the pitch.”
The Clarets have yet to pick up a point on the road ahead of Sunday’s televised derby clash with Blackburn.
Yet Carlisle, who celebrates his 30th birthday tomorrow, added: “There will be no pressing any panic buttons about away performances.”
