RELIEVED Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman praised his side’s fighting spirit after they twice came from behind to earn a point at Port Vale last night.
Phil Edwards scored from the spot and Andy Procter hit a last-gasp equaliser after Tommy Fraser appeared to have done enough to win it for the home side.
But Coleman admitted his players were frustrated they hadn’t been able to record back-to-back league wins.
“It’s a sign of how far we’ve come as a team that the players are sick they’ve only got a draw,” he said.
“They think they did enough to win the game.
“But you shouldn’t have to score three away from home to win a game.”
