TONIGHT'S scheduled Lancashire League 20/20 final between Burnley and Nelson was called off because of rain.
The showpiece of the short form competition was set to attract a large crowd to Turf Moor as the two sides locked horns.
However, heavy rain through Thursday night followed by more rain this afternoon rendered the Turf Moor pitch unplayable.
The final, between the sides who finished first and second in Group C, will now take place next Friday night with a 6.15pm start.
