ACCRINGTON Stanley have confirmed that former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Mark Patterson will return to the club this season.
The 44-year-old Patterson had a spell with Stanley at the end of his playing career and will take up an unpaid role at the Crown Ground as a replacement for departed first-team coach Pablo Asensio.
Patterson – previously the manager of Chorley, Darwen, Leigh RMI and Scarborough – will help out assistant manager Jimmy Bell with the matchday warm-up and may also do some scouting for the club.
“He’s a good lad and he has a lot of experience,” said John Coleman.
