The newly-reformed AFC Darwen kicked off their pre-season build up with an impressive 3-0 win against FC Liverpool at the Anchor Ground.
Karl Turner scored twice with Paul Posteraro also on target for a Darwen side who will play in the West Lancashire League next season.
Manager Dennis Hill said: “I am happy with the way the squad is shaping up.”
Darwen play Nelson at home on Thursday (7.30pm).
