AN unwanted record set by Darwen 110 years ago could be broken today.
Darwen, now in the Vodkat First Division, lost 18 matches in a row during their days in the Football League in the 1898/99 season.
Conference bottom club Lewes, however, matched that worst ever run for a professional club in England with their 18th defeat last Saturday and will break the record if they lose at home to Altrincham today.
