REVITALISED Rossendale United look to take another giant step towards UniBond League survival tomorrow when they look to slay Welsh dragons Colwyn Bay.

Phil Eastwood’s Stags won for only the second time this year on Tuesday night to give themselves breathing space ahead of big spending bottom club Salford City.

That gap was down to just seven points last weekend with the loss to Chorley.

But Eastwood knows there is still work to do.

“Survival is in our own hands,” he said.

“And if it gets to a situation where it is not, then we have done something wrong and only have ourselves to blame.

“There is no point feeling sorry for yourself when you are losing. You just have to pick yourself up and go again and that is what we are trying to do.”

The Stags face a Colwyn Bay side likely to include former Burnley man Graham Branch and Dave Challinor.

Ex-Bury, Stockport and Tranmere man Challinor holds the world record for the longest throw in football.

And that throw became famous in Tranmere’s run to the 2000 League Cup final.
