AFTER scoring their first World Championship points of the year, rallymen Daniel Barritt and Conrad Rautenbach will be looking for more of the same on this weekend’s Rally of Portugal.
The pair finished a fine sixth on the Cyprus Rally, but the Portugese stages represent a completely different challenge.
Missing last year under the WRC's event rotation scheme, the Rally of Portugal is one of the best supported rounds of the series, with fans lining the route ten-deep.
And the smooth and fast stages are acknowledged as being some of the best in the world.
“After the slow, slow, slow roads in Cyprus, getting out to Portugal will be a real treat,” said Rautenbach.
“The stages are much quicker and a bit more enjoyabIe to drive.
“The roads are really good and I will have driven some of them before.”
The event starts tonight with a superspecial in the Algarve stadium.
