BURNLEY’S Owen Coyle and Accrington Stanley’s John Coleman missed out on their respective manager of the month awards today.
Both bosses had been shortlisted for the gong, but in the end Sheffield United's Kevin Blackwell won the Championship award, with Chesterfield's Lee Richardson taking the League Two honours.
Coyle has been short-listed for the March award along with Wolves boss Mick McCarthy and new Norwich chief Bryan Gunn.
Burnley were unbeaten in the league last month, picking up 13 points from a possible 15, and recovered from a 3-0 FA Cup loss at Arsenal to beat Crystal Palace 4-2 at Turf Moor.
