ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman was pleased with a point after seeing his side hold Rotherham United to a goalless draw on Saturday.

The result extended the Reds’ unbeaten run to six matches – just one short of their best streak since their return to the Football League – and Coleman said: “I thought the players really battled well.

“Rotherham are a decent side and they put us under a bit of pressure in midfield.

“Kenny (Arthur) has made one world class save, they’ve flashed one wide and we’ve missed two or three chances, so I think on the balance of chances a draw was a fair result.”

Coming to places like this, maybe earlier in the season we might not have seen it out but there is a steel and determination among our lads now.

“It’s just a pity the season doesn’t start in March or we’d fancy our chances.”
