WINGER Wade Elliott has been shortlisted for Championship player of the year at the North West Football Awards 2008.
The 29-year-old faces competition from Preston North End’s Sean St Ledger and Blackpool defender Stephen Crainey if he is to scoop the honour which team-mate Michael Duff won last year.
Elliott has also been nominated in the goal of the season category, for his winner at home to Charlton Athletic last season.
