BLACKBURN Rovers youngsters Jordan Philpott and Anthony O’Connor are in the Republic of Ireland squad for this week’s qualifying phase of the UEFA Under 17s Championship.
Philpott was a late call-up to the squad and joins O’Connor for the group phase in Luxembourg, which starts with a match against the hosts on Friday.
The Republic then face Andorra on Sunday and Greece on Wednesday, with the top two in Group Five guaranteed a place in the elite phase in March.
