BURNLEY boss Owen Coyle believes burgeoning midfield talent Chris McCann is ready to take the country by storm.
McCann has emerged as an outstanding prospect since coming through the Clarets’ youth system and is one of the first names on Coyle’s team sheet.
His ability is unquestioned at Turf Moor and Coyle now expects the 21-year-old to be recognised on a bigger stage.
He said: “Chris is getting stronger, and although he has a little niggle as well and missed training the other day, he’s so important to the team.
“There’s never any thoughts of not playing him because of what he brings.
"I’ve said to Chris it’s up to him to continue that development.
“Both myself and all the staff have a tremendous belief in the player, and I really believe if he continues in that form, the whole of the country will sit up and take notice of Chris McCann.”
