FORMER Ajax youngster Kiran Bechan will be out to make his English dream a reality at Ewood Park this week – as Blackburn continue to keep their eyes out for new blood.

The Dutch winger started a trial with Rovers yesterday with chairman John Williams revealing he is the just the latest in a number of triallists being put through their paces in Lancashire.

Bechan, 25, pictured, comes from the same Ajax generation as Robin Van Persie, Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder and is desperate to pursue a career in England.

Any talk of finally securing added competition for that elusive right wing spot seem to be premature though, with Rovers just carrying on their ‘triallist friendly’ policy.

Williams said: “We have had a few players on trial and it is a great way of seeing players.

“It is difficult though this week, as was last week, with most of the squad away on international duty.

“People who are without a club can join between transfer windows so we will continue looking at triallists.”

Bechan has also enjoyed spells with Dutch clubs Sparta Rotterdam, FC Groningen and FC Den Bosch, before playing for Spanish outfit Hercules CF.

He is currently without a club though, having had summer trials with Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Leeds.
