MARK Clayton was the hero for Todmorden as his superb innings helped book their place in the Worsley Cup Final with a four-wicket win over Ramsbottom.
The visitors had set a challenging total of 240-7, with opening batsman Phil Hayes top scoring with 84 and professional Shane Harwood adding 62.
Todmorden professional Gulam Bodi (pictured) was also on form with the ball though, and claimed figures of 4-41.
Unfortunately for Ramsbottom, Harwood pulled a muscle during his knock and could only bowl for two overs.
Michael Haslam took the wicket of Ben Sutcliffe at 14 and Bodi followed at the hands of Chris Read after battling past the half century mark with a knock of 53.
Read also dismissed Alistair Harrison (15) and Martin Cropper removed Tom Marsh for just three.
At that point it looked decidedly difficult for the Centre Vale outfit.
But Andrew Sutcliffe (24) and Clayton took the score up to 129 before the Todmorden veterans took over.
Todmorden will now face Accrington in the final at Centre Vale on August 3.
