Rovers have several players out on loan in the EFL and abroad, but how are they getting on at their respective clubs?
George Pratt
Pratt has made a positive start to his spell at Bradford City, starting the Bantams’ last three League One games.
He scored the winner at Notts County earlier this month, finding the bottom corner with a super strike from the edge of the penalty area.
Bradford have kept clean sheets in all three of the games Pratt has started, picking up maximum points to remain top of the table.
“I've never really scored in front of an away support like that,” Pratt said after the Notts County game. "You hear lads who score a lot say they can't really describe the feeling and you can't!
“It's unbelievable when you score and you're going running towards a packed out away end. I didn't have a clue what I was doing.
“I was so glad it was at that end because I wanted to go over and celebrate with a few family and friends."
He added: “I’m enjoying every minute. Hopefully I can just keep it going, keep pushing every day and stay in the side.”
However, the Yorkshire club have just been rocked by manager Graham Alexander’s exit to take charge at Preston North End.
Connor O’Riordan
O’Riordan has been a regular starter in the Barnsley backline so far this season, making six starts including five in League One.
Daniel Stendel’s side have had a tough start to the campaign, picking up eight points from their opening seven games and currently sitting 18th in the table.
O’Riordan spent the first half of last season at Doncaster Rovers in the third tier before returning to Ewood Park to provide defensive cover.
“There was initial interest early in the summer but it didn’t quite get sorted,” he told Barnsley Chronicle.
“When the interest came again, the loan with the option was something I wanted to get done. For me Barnsley is always a big club with ambitions to get into the Championship so it’s a perfect fit for me at the moment.
“I spoke to the manager and staff and they spoke about how aggressive they want to be and man to man pressing.
“I thought it would be a great challenge for me because, if you want to play at the top level like everyone has got the ambition to do, as a centre-back, you have to be able to defend one-v-one. I will be exposed to that a lot and I am excited for the challenge.”
Axel Henriksson
Henriksson had a frustrating start to his spell at Randers, receiving a red card eight minutes into his debut against AGF.
However, his second appearance was much more enjoyable. The versatile midfielder bagged a brace in a 3-1 victory against Vendsyssel.
Henriksson also featured in a 4-3 defeat against Sonderjyske, and Randers currently sit eighth in the table with 10 points from nine games.
“It was tough, I was a little overwhelmed. I'm just happy that we won that game, it was obviously a tough debut,” he told the Danish press.
“There was a bit of a banter but you have to accept that. But otherwise, the welcome has been good. It's a very welcoming club, a family club. I've been well looked after and it was very nice that we won the match even though I messed up.
“It was nice to score goals. It is nice to play football again, 90 minutes, and we are through in the cup. It feels good.
“I needed to play football, that is the most important thing. I am 24 years old and need to play regularly, week in and week out. I hope to do this and be good enough to do it in Randers.”
Sidnei Tavares
Tavares has played three times for Wisla Plock so far and seems to have made a positive start in Poland.
The midfielder helped his side pick up seven points from that run, including victories against Zaglebie Lubin and Cracovia.
Tavares has scored an average rating of 7.4 across those games, according to FotMob, and played all but 18 minutes.
Wisla Plock currently sit 11th in the table, with 11 points from their opening eight games, and are starting to look up after a slow start.
Osman Kamara and Nick Michalski
Kamara and Michalski both headed to Crawley Town to play under ex-Rovers forward Colin Kazim-Richards.
Kamara has had a busy start, making 10 appearances in all competitions including seven in the league.
Michalski had a frantic debut, coming on at half time to replace ex-Arsenal goalkeeper Vito Mannone, who had picked up an injury. The youngster has started a further four games in the league since then.
Crawley have had a tough start to the campaign and find themselves bottom of the table, with one win from seven.
