Portsmouth boss John Mousinho felt his side could have 'nicked' the victory against Blackburn Rovers but was pleased to fightback for a point.
Colby Bishop's equaliser prevented Tony Mowbray's men from taking all three points at Fratton Park. Having fallen behind early, Rovers got themselves 2-1 ahead with 30 minutes to go.
Mousinho was frustrated with the manner of the goals Pompey gave away but was pleased they managed to take something from th game.
"Ultimately, we are very frustrated we haven't won the game," he told BBC Radio Solent.
"For a few reasons. We think the two goals we gave away are very avoidable, particularly the second one.
"We shot ourselves in the foot. On the balance of chances in the game, we had some very good opportunities but didn't put the ball in the back of the net.
"To go 2-1 down, we went flat after that but then did well to get back in the game. I think at the end, if we had a bit more quality in certain situations, we could have punished them.
"We wouldn't have taken that before the game but in the circumstances of being 2-1 down, we have to settle for a point and move on."
With 10 minutes to go, both teams had opportunities to steal the win. Both goalkeepers were called into good saves with a point apiece probably a fair result.
"The first goal, we showed Afolayan inside which is what we don't tell players," he continued.
"If he beats you on the outside and scores, fine, we live with that. The second goal, we try to play quickly, Blackburn press, and we have to clear our lines much better.
"We didn't do that and from that period of domination where we somehow don't score, we're 2-1 down, which is very frustrating.
"I thought we could nick it but we weren't dominating. We gave away some chances at the end too so it wasn't one-way traffic at that point.
"We could've nicked it but Blackburn will feel the same."
