Blackburn-based fitness studio Active Wellness has announced a new partnership with Blackburn Community Sports Club, supporting the squad with strength and conditioning as the club looks ahead to an exciting new season.
The partnership brings together two local organisations with a shared focus on fitness, wellbeing and helping people achieve their goals.
Scott Taylor, Founder of Active Wellness, said: “We’re really pleased to be supporting Blackburn Community Sports Club.
As a local fitness studio, we’re passionate about helping people become stronger, fitter and healthier, so this partnership feels like a great fit for us.”
As part of the collaboration, Active Wellness will provide the women’s football squad with weekly training sessions at its Blackburn studio, helping players build strength, improve fitness and complement their training on the pitch.
Active Wellness will also become the club’s official Player of the Match sponsor, with the Active Wellness Player of the Match award presented following home fixtures and the partnership promoted across the club’s social media channels.
Blackburn Community Sports Club is a growing local side, recently promoted to Tier 6 of the women’s football pyramid and competing in this season’s FA Women’s Cup.
Ben Willacy, Coach at Blackburn Community Sports Club, said: “We’re delighted to have Active Wellness on board.
Having access to regular strength and conditioning sessions will be a fantastic addition to our training and will help us prepare for the demands of competing at a higher level.
It’s great to build a relationship with a local business that shares our enthusiasm for fitness, development and the Blackburn community.
We’re really looking forward to working together.”
Scott continued: “The team has some exciting ambitions ahead and we’re looking forward to welcoming the players into the studio each week, supporting their training and hopefully playing a small part in what they achieve on the pitch.
It’s also important to us to support our local community, and seeing women’s and grassroots football continue to grow here in Blackburn is something we’re very happy to get behind.”
