Stanley have announced the signing of striker Cole Stockton from Salford City.
The 32-year-old has put pen to paper over a two-year contract at the Wham Stadium.
Stockton began his career at Tranmere Rovers before heading North of the border to join Heart of Midlothian in 2017.
The forward returned to England to sign for Carlisle United and later joined Morecambe, scoring 15 goals to help secure promotion to League One in 2020/21.
The following campaign, he netted 26 goals as the Shrimps secured safety in the third tier.
Stockton headed to Burton Albion in 2023 and also had a spell at Barrow before joining Salford, where he scored 23 goals.
"Cole is a proven goalscorer at this level and he has scored goals at League One as well," manager John Doolan told the club.
"We have liked him for a while and we are so glad he has signed for us. At his last club, he scored goals, so hopefully that will continue here.
"He knows most of the lads here already, which will help. To have him here is brilliant for us."
Stockton already knows most of the Stanley squad and hopes it will help him hit the ground running at the Wham Stadium.
"I have had a good few chats with John and Ged (Brannan), I've known all about them for a while," he said.
"How they run their teams, the dressing rooms they have and the environment they have built is something I want at this point of my career. I know a fair few of the lads so that makes it so much easier to come into a place, settle in and start."
"There is no better feeling than scoring goals but you have to earn the right to do that," the new signing continued.
"We have to apply ourselves in the right way and come the first game of the season, that is all that matters. That is what we are building towards and then take it from there."
