Slaven Bilic has revealed he turned down interest from Blackburn Rovers, believing it was 'not the right time' to be their next head coach.
As reported by Lancashire Telegraph, Rovers were keen to speak to Bilic after sacking Valerien Ismael in a bid to appoint someone with experience.
However, despite interest in the club, the former West Ham boss believed it was the wrong scenario to enter the club.
With Rovers in the bottom three and fighting for survival, Bilic decided against former talks with the board. He revealed he remains open to a new job in England but it has to be the right opportunity.

"It was true," Bilic told Sky Sports News.
"I decided at this stage of the season, it wasn't the right moment to go. That was my decision based on that.
"I was interested, it's always nice to be linked with club's from England. If the club is right and the moment is right, why not (come back).
"It's a great job and it was always my area, it is my second tongue. We will see what happens."
Rovers also spoke to Gary Rowett in detail before approaching Michael O'Neill and the Irish FA. A deal has been struck until the end of the season on a job-share basis.
