Former Rovers boss Paul Lambert has opened up about his spell away from the dugout and new role overseas.
Lambert had a spell in charge at Ewood Park during the 2015/16 campaign. He has also managed the likes of Aston Villa, Norwich, Wolves and Stoke City.
However, he hasn’t been in the dugout for four-and-a-half years since his departure from Ipswich Town.
The Scot is now working for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund as the club’s technical director of Southeast Asia.
Lambert - who spent a couple of years at Dortmund during his playing career - is now tasked with building partnerships and using his coaching expertise to help the next generation thrive on and off the pitch.
The 56-year-old revealed that he has had offers to return to management but decided to stay put.

“I’ve had offers to go back into management that I declined,” he said. “I really enjoy my role with Borussia Dortmund, I really enjoy the unique philosophy of Dortmund and the values of the club.
“At this moment, I enjoy working for the club where I have had a lot of success. I also like the structure here in Australia and love being back at Dortmund.”
Meanwhile, Igor Tyjon has been called up to the England Under-17 squad for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
The forward will jet out at the end of the month as the Young Lions aim to repeat their success of 2017 when they lifted the trophy.
Tyjon - who netted for the Under-18 side in a friendly against France earlier this month - has been selected alongside young talent from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea.
Neil Ryan’s side kick off the group stage against Venezuela on Tuesday, November 4 and also have games against Haiti and Egypt.
Fixtures will be played at the Aspire Football Zone in Doha apart from the final, which will be held at the Khalifa International Stadium.
Tyjon made a couple of appearances off the bench for Rovers in the Championship last term. He also featured in the Carabao Cup earlier this season.
