Paddy Madden celebrated a hat-trick for Accrington Stanley as they secured a 4-0 win over high-flying Swindon Town.
Madden chipped home the first from 25 yards on eight minutes for his first Reds goal since his loan move from Chesterfield.
The in-form Robins were reduced to ten-men on 37 minutes when captain Ollie Clarke saw red for violent conduct.
Stanley got the all-important second on 72 minutes when Madden slotted home Isaac Heath’s cross and then Madden turned provider, sending Heath through on 79 minutes as the Everton loanee grabbed his first EFL goal.
Madden got his third in added time, latching onto Conor Grant's ball and firing beyond Ripley.
John Doolan made five changes to the starting XI from the defeat to Newport with Farrend Rawson, Devon Matthews, Charlie Brown, Alex Henderson and Seamus Conneely starting in place of the suspended Donald Love alongside Logan Pye, Josh Smith, Conor Grant and Josh Woods.
The game burst to life on six minutes when Jamie Knight-Lebel tackled Isaac Sinclair who was bursting through. The Reds felt the defender should have had more than a yellow card. Charlie Brown’s resulting free kick was over the bar.
Stanley took the lead on eight minutes when Henderson headed the ball down to Madden 25 yards out. The striker hit it first time, chipping the ball over ex-Reds keeper Connor Ripley.
Swindon’s first shot was on 22 minutes with Paul Glatzel’s strike from the edge of the area wide of the post.
The next action involved the visitors, with Ollie Palmer getting his head to a corner but it was easy for Ollie Wright.
Swindon were reduced to ten men on 37 minutes when Clarke was judged to have elbowed Henderson and was shown a straight red. Madden’s resulting free kick was over the bar.
Heath fired over just after as Stanley looked for an all-important second.
Swindon started on the front foot but Stanley had the best chance on 51 minutes with captain Conneely hitting the woodwork.
At the other end just after, Palmer’s header was touched onto the crossbar by Wright as Swindon looked for an equaliser.
Heath’s strike was saved by Ripley then the Robins were denied by the woodwork again as Finley Munroe hit the crossbar with a strike from 35 yards.
Conneely volleyed wide while another Heath strike was pushed out by Ripley in an end-to-end second half.
Stanley scored a vital second when Everton loan winger Heath broke forward on 72 minutes and passed for Madden to slot home his second of the game.
Wright denied Munroe with his foot as the Robins battled to get back in it while Knight-Lebel headed just over.
However then Madden sent Heath through on 79 minutes and he burst forward and fired home the third.
Ripley kept out a Devon Matthews strike near the end while Madden, looking for a hat-trick, had a shot deflected over.
He got his third in the second minute of added time, Conor Grant feeding him through and Madden racing forward and firing beyond Ripley.
