Stoke City boss Mark Robins admitted there was some “relief” to leave Ewood Park with a point.
Robins’ side led through Million Manhoef’s goal but were pegged back by Augustus Kargbo, and then the pacy attacker was denied by the woodwork in the final stages.
Stoke are still in the play-off places but have now drawn three successive matches after a strong start.
"I just think that whatever we did we were sloppy, and it gave them a leg up and a way back into a game they should never have been involved in,” Robins told Stoke-on-Trent Live.
“Credit to them, they smelled we weren't quite at it. We started to make some ridiculous decisions and throw the points away. Coming away with one is probably a relief at the end of it.
“We shouldn't have been talking about this, we should have been talking about a really decent or professional performance to see the game out, but credit to them because they've come back and nearly won the game.
"I'm disappointed with it but for whatever reason the conditions made it difficult. We weren't in control of things with our first touch or decision making on the ball. The type of pass or weight of pass or the final ball was missing. The detail wasn't there on anything.
“Even the goal we scored went in as a deflection, but I'm talking about perfectionists and the game is never like that. They've thrown bodies on the line trying to make it really difficult.”
Robins was disappointed with his side’s decision making for the equaliser and felt they could have handled the final stages much better.
“We continued to play it like a basketball game when we don't need to,” he added. “Go and take control of it.
"Then the clearance - get rid of the ball. We didn't and we played it into an area where they can just put it straight back in.
“It was so frustrating and you could see it coming. There was nothing you could do about it because of the decision making on the pitch.”
