As was the case throughout most of the county, there was no play whatsoever in the Anthony Axford North West Cricket League last Saturday - including the second XI programme.

This left Burnley Belvedere Premiership champions, five points in front of Farnworth second team.

They were followed by, in order, Salesbury, Barrowford, Little Lever, Read, Walkden, Cherry Tree and Farnworth Social Circle.

Feniscowles and Padiham were relegated and will be replaced next year by second division champions Ribblesdale Wanderers and runners-up Foulridge.

The second division will comprise the two relegated teams plus Burnley Belvedere seconds, Astley Bridge, Lostock, Barnoldswick, Blackrod, Brinscall and the two promoted clubs, champions Eagley and runners-up Atherton.

Baxenden and Oswaldtwistle Immanuel drop to the third tier and join Kearsley, Earby, Tonge, Chatburn, Barrowford seconds, Foulridge and Feniscowles.

Across the divisions, the leading run-scorers this season were:- Aaqib Javed (Farnworth) 804, Saubaan Khan (Astley Bridge) 510 and Jamie Birtwistle-Jones (Chatburn) 515.

Highest individual scores were:- Tom Wilson (Salesbury) 152 not out, Majid Khan (Burnley Belvedere) 141 and Jamie Birtwistle-Jones (Chatburn) 166.

Top individual performances were:- Jack Fenwick (Cherry Tree) 8-27, Dhanushka Lakshan (Brinscall) 7-16 and Oliver Tuck (Eagley) 7-22.
