CHORLEY have signed Harry Ibbitson on a month’s loan from Bradford City as they prepare to kick off their National League North campaign at Darlington tomorrow.
Boss Andy Preece has moved to strengthen his squad and the 19-year-old striker will bolster his attacking options.
Ibbitson is a product of the Bantams’ Academy, has been with City since he was 15. Last season, he spent time out on loan at fellow National League North side Kidderminster Harriers, as well as a couple of months under Mark Bower’s watchful eye at Guiseley AFC.
“We’re really happy to have Harry with us, he comes in with great reviews, he’s highly thought of at Bradford, it’s exciting,” Preece told the club website. “He will give us another attacking option within the squad and I think that’s really important, especially going into the season and factoring in the seven-subs rule that’s new this year.”
Clitheroe will be looking to bounce back from the disappointment of their FA Cup defeat to Runcorn Linnets last weekend when they kick off their NPL West campaign.
Blues boss Sean McConville was upset with the manner of the 1-0 defeat against their fellow NPL West side and will be looking for a marked improvement at division new boys Shifnal Town.
After last weekend’s FA Cup exploits, NWCL Premier Division sides turn their attentions back to league duties.

Padiham have an early top-of-the-table clash at Stockport Town - top of table on goal difference - while Rammy host FC St Helens.
Bottom-of-the-table Barlick go to unbeaten Litherland REMYCA.
