Augustus Kargbo is keen to keep building “momentum” as Rovers prepare for the new Championship campaign.
Valerien Ismael’s squad have had a productive pre-season to date, recording victories against Accrington Stanley, Everton, Qatar SC and Elche.
Rovers have one more test coming up against Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen before their league opener at the Hawthorns.
“It is all about the momentum and the habit,” Kargbo told RoversTV. “Winning is a habit and once you start winning, you start building. It is also the bond we are creating as a team – how we play, how we press, how we defend.
“At the end of the day, you know the results are going to come if we keep building the momentum and working together as a team.”
He added: “It [the Spain trip] was crazy! A lot of nice guys, we joke a lot but at the same time, when it is time to work you can see the professionalism in each and every one of the guys.
“It feels good, it is a great group to be honest and we just want to keep growing, keep building the bond.”
The 25-year-old netted his first goal in blue and white during the big win against Qatar SC, slotting home after some good work by Makhtar Gueye.
It was a special moment for Kargbo, whose start to life at Ewood Park during the second half of last season was disrupted by injury.
“I had been waiting to score my first goal and it was a nice assist from Pape, he was brilliant there,” he recalled.
“He is a great guy and we have a good relationship off the pitch. It is always good as a striker to get the feeling of the goal.
“We are working together with the staff to be in the scoring positions and at the end of the day, we have to finish like how we prepared. It is great to finish the actions and score or assist.”
Kargbo also got to meet some of the fans who made the trip and was taken aback by the turnout for the fixtures at the Pinatar Arena.
The Sierra Leone international insists that the supporters are vital and hopes to entertain them on the pitch next season.
“I wasn’t expecting this turn up, to be honest,” he admitted. “It shows how big the club is – not only people from Blackburn but people from different parts of the world.
“It makes me feel really good and to feel the support of the fans, these are the kind of things we need. Not only us, you can see the fans are really connected to the club and that can only help us.
“Having a chat with them, I saw someone who came from Singapore! It is a nice feeling to know how big this club is and how big the fanbase is.
“It is a really special feeling. We have been putting in work since the start of pre-season and the results are coming now.
“Like the gaffer said, we should just focus on the simple things and continue building momentum as a team, pressing, on the ball, off the ball.”
