Stanley have signed goalkeeper Ollie Wright on a season-long loan from Southampton.
Wright had loan spells in the National League with Yeovil and Solihull Moors last season, playing 39 times and keeping nine clean sheets.
The 22-year-old is excited to make the step up to League Two and believes he has what it takes.
"I have had a few loans in the National League South and National League last season, so this season I feel ready to play in the EFL and showcase my skills to everyone," he told the club site.
"Playing league football is more physical and demanding than Under-21s, and you have got to dominate your box.
"Zach [Awe] and Joe [O'Brien-Whitmarsh] said nothing but good things about the club and how they were looked after here - it definitely helped the move and it is one of the reasons why I signed.
"I met all the lads on Monday morning and they were all really welcoming, I am sure it's healthy competition for all the goalkeepers and we can all work hard together."
John Doolan is pleased to have added Wright to his squad for the upcoming campaign and hopes he can provide healthy competition in the goalkeeping department.
"We needed a goalkeeper to push Michael [Kelly] and young James [Rogerson]," the manager added.
"Ollie has a lot of qualities, which we have been looking at for quite a bit - he came on the radar last year, he has had a few loans out and has played men's football.
"He is a great size and he fits the criteria. We have done our research on him, we want to bring good lads into the club and he is one of them, and Southampton speak really highly of him.
"It's a white canvas, all the keepers have got to show what they can do and who wants to keep the shirt."
